PRIVACY POLICY
1. ABOUT THIS PRIVACY POLICY. This Privacy Policy describes how we at Project Aging, Inc. collect, use, process, and protect your personal information through our platform Arlow and is designed to help you understand how we handle this personal information.
· We explain the categories of information we collect and the sources of that information in Section 2 (What Personal Information is Collected);
· We explain how we use your personal information in Section 5 (How We Use Your Personal Information);
· We explain that we do not sell your personal information. We also do not “share” your personal information as that term is defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA); and
· We explain how we retain your personal information in Section 11 (How Long Do We Retain Your Personal Information).
2. WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION IS COLLECTED. When you create an account with Arlow, we and our contractors (such as those providing hosting and developing the software) may collect and store information such as but not limited to:
· Your full name
· Your birthday
· Your email address and mobile phone number
· Your demographic information including, but not limited to, relationship status, gender, work status, racial background, spiritual practices, hobbies, and pets
· Your medical information including, but not limited to, health conditions, tobacco usage, and medications
· Volunteered personal information disclosed thru conversations with the Arlow’s proprietary AI agent (“ArlowAI”)
· Information for invited contacts (invited contact’s full name and mobile phone number)
· Your mobile device information
· App usage data
· GPS location information
3. HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION. We (and our contractors) collect your personal information in the following ways:
· Directly from you. We collect information directly from you when you create your account with Arlow by providing your mobile phone number, full name and email address at the time you create an account and enter information into your profile during the setup process.
· Through interactive questions. We collect information actively (via text fields, drop downs and other manual entry methods), via voice conversations with ArlowAI (which are stored and remembered for defined future uses by ArlowAI).
· Automatically. We collect information (such as device information, usage data, location information and more) passively (i.e., in the background without your express action, via conversations with the ArlowAI) as described in the Section 13 (How Do We Use Cookies and Other Trackers).
· From connected devices. We collect information from your devices connected to Arlow, including, but not limited to, wearables or smart health devices, which may transmit biometric information (e.g., fall detection, mobility, heart rate, activity levels, sleep patterns, and similar data).
4. WHY WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION (I.E., THE LEGAL BASIS). Regulations like the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) require that we have a “legal basis” for collecting your personal information. We collect your personal information for the “performance of a contract” (to use GDPR-compliant language). This means we use your personal information to provide Arlow and its services to you.
5. HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION. We use your mobile phone number, full name and email address to set up your user account and for authentication. We may also use your personal information to comply with applicable law. In addition, we use certain Personal Information to tailor and improve your experience with our services, including customizing conversational ArlowAI responses to provide more relevant accurate and helpful services and solutions and Personal information is actively used with ArlowAI to assist with relevant, aware and appropriate conversations. This can pertain to but not limited to casual conversations, suggestions of activities and reminders, well-being recommendations, dietary suggestions, medical information and more accessible via internet searches.
6. SHARING OR SELLING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION. We do not share or sell your personal information with anyone (including other users of Arlow). The only exception to this rule is that we may have to provide your personal information to law enforcement.
7. PRIVACY ISSUES FOR CHILDREN OR MINORS. We recognize the need to provide further privacy protections with respect to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. You must be at least 18 years old to use the App.
8. U.S. STATE LAW REQUIREMENTS. Some states have laws that require specific disclosures for their residents (e.g., the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA)).
9. HOW CAN YOU ACCESS AND CONTROL YOUR DATA. The personal information that we require is your mobile phone number, email address, full name and birthday. Your mobile phone number is directly associated with your account so it cannot be modified by you or anyone else.
10. OUR SAFETY AND SECURITY PRACTICES. The personally identifiable information Arlow captures and uses for authentication purposes is your mobile phone and personal email.
11. HOW LONG DO WE RETAIN YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION. We only retain your personal information so long as it serves the purposes listed in this Privacy Policy, including to manage your access to the App, to collect and monitor traffic and other usage statistics about our App, and to comply with our accounting and legal obligations. For example, Under HIPAA, we must retain your protected health information for a minimum of six (6) years from the date of its creation or the date it was last in effect.
12. HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION. We encrypt PII information provided by the user during Signup, Registration and Onboarding at the database level. No one can access your unencrypted data except law enforcement officers.
13. HOW DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKERS. We may use cookies and other identification technologies in Arlow for authentication purposes and to analyze the trends of all our users collectively.
14. CAN WE CHANGE THIS PRIVACY POLICY? We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting an amended version at our website and updating the “Revised/Updated” date at the top of the Privacy Policy. If such amendment materially reduces your rights or protections, We shall send you written notice. If you continue use of the Arlow following the effective date of the current Privacy Policy, that means you are consenting to its terms.
